WIN offers programs that help families improve and empower their life.
WIN consistently makes programming changes that reflect unmet needs in the community.
what we do
Current Programming
The Basics
The WIN Thrift Store offers basic and practical household items at no cost to qualifying families. Local families have received an average $4,000 per year in general merchandise. Items such as beds, sofas, dishes, dressers and other household necessities are available. Call our office at 410-778-5999 to set an appointment.
community support program
WIN provides grants to local organizations who provide emergency cash assistance to families in crisis. Recipients of these grants have been the Good Neighbor Fund, Samaritan Group and Salvation Army.
Project M.E.
Launch Point is a micro-enterprise empowerment initiative designed to support and empower individuals who are building small businesses. This initiative provides coaching, support, networking and promotional opportunities. WIN is actively seeking mentors who would like to partner with us to help these businesses build success.
Scholarships/Day-Care Subsidies
The Scott Othoson Memorial Scholarship program, for up to $5000 per applicant, exists for single parent moms (or dads) currently working and attending school.
