Women In Need (WIN), is a non-profit organization established in 1997, based in Chestertown, MD and serving Kent County and the Eastern Shore. It exists to provide a critical passage from economic crisis to financial independence for families. Those eligible for services are usually those who have experienced a recent transition in their lives such as separation or divorce, loss of employment, those displaced by disaster and senior citizens on fixed incomes without adequate financial or family support.

WIN helps local individuals and families in economic crisis through it’s Client Services Division. WIN also provides grants to local direct service organizations through it’s local community partnerships. WIN is completely dependent on the community for our support, making the Thrift Store CRITICAL to our survival as we do not receive grant funding of any kind.
