Launch Point is a micro-enterprise empowerment initiative designed to support individuals who are building small businesses in order to support themselves and their families. Some of our entrepreneurs are seeking to build full-time businesses, while others are seeking to supplement their income, either way we’re here to help them succeed!

This initiative provides coaching, support, networking opportunities, and the ability to showcase individual businesses here and at the WIN store to increase their exposure.

The LaunchPoint store-within-a-store concept showcases some of the works of these artisans and entrepreneurs.

Wired Coast

Cheryl’s business was born on the beaches of Southern California where she began crafting wire wrapped sea shells and beach stones as natural jewelry creations. She has expanded her creations into unique eco-chic items from rescued materials for sustainably chic wearable art with a low carbon footprint. 

Cheryl returned to Chestertown from San Diego in order to be closer to family.

We are deeply saddened by the loss of Alec Dionisio. He was a professionally educated web designer with a knack for code and a passion for solving problems. He had nearly a decade of experience where he has honed his skills in both design and cybersecurity to create beautiful and secure websites for his clients. His collaborative approach maximized design and technology to make interfaces, shape brands, and build digital products for businesses large and small.

Alec designed and built WIN’s website and was responsible for its many iterations over the years. His creative genius and kind nature will be greatly missed.

Taccora Graves is the owner of CrafteeBabe Kreationz, LLC. She specializes in custom t-shirts, clothing, bags and decals. She will collaborate with you to create just the design you want, or select from one of her original designs.

Say It With A Treat

We are saddened by the loss of Tresstine Deaton. She was a lifelong crafter who honed her paper crafting skills in the more than 25 years she spent in the public schools creating educational products for her students. She expanded her crafting skills to include customized gift packaging that is both whimsical and unique.

She also actively helped her grandson with his brand new business - Bubbling Balloons, inspiring the next generation of family entrepreneurs.

Tresstine Deaton was a lifelong resident of Kent County and local artist who was active in the local community and raised three young men who have followed her example to make a difference in their community.

Sondra Mack is a local entrepreneur with a passion for people. She has created a line of scrubs and room sprays using natural and organic ingredients and essential oils.

Her products are on display at WIN, where you can chat with her about existing and future offerings.

Shelly’s Designs

Shelly Charles is a the founder and artist of Shelly’s Designs. Her entrepreneurial and creative spirit have been the source of her uniquely creative items for over a decade. Her personalized vinyl creations range from T-Shirts & Aprons to decorative household items and decals. 

Her focus is on providing inspirational items that bring joy and relate the message of faith.

Shore Staging

Karen’s creativity in design space and marketing is renowned in the local community. You can see her creativity displayed daily at WIN in her retail displays. In addition to her ability to create a beautiful shopping experience, she has also used this talent over the years to stage homes and offices. She has recently chosen to offer these services to local realtors and home sellers.

Karen is a local artist who is married with two sons and active in her community and her church.

Elisa Pilar Jewelry

Elisa started designing earrings in 2010 with her cousin as a hobby that provided fun and relaxation. She has expanded her business from friends and family to providing annual Christmas gifts to Capucas, Honduras; providing earring workshops for birthday parties, Girls Circle programs, and the Relevant Youth Group with the designs used as fundraisers for “Speed the Light” missions.

Elisa is a local artist, wife and mother of three young children. Elisa has a long history of community activity, dealing primarily with teenage girls. She and her family are active in the community and their local church. They have been long-time supporters of WIN and are active int he local education and arts communities.

Joyce Teat Art

Painter of people, animals and landscapes. Inspired by family, and all the pleasures of Maryland's Eastern Shore.

Joyce is a self taught artist who began painting as a hobby more than 20 years ago. Influenced and mentored by a local group of professional artists, she began painting professionally in 2012. She has created commissioned portraits and displayed her paintings in exhibitions in local Eastern Shore galleries.
